Great article as always Stefano! I learnt some new things, I tend to always strive for perfection, for perfect order in my life. But I need to learn to embrace that chaos, to learn to Iove that chaos, to confront it, and to cooperate with it. It'll definitely make it easier to deal with.
“Disorder into order. Confusion into clarity. Dark into light.” Will be bringing this mantra into the weeks ahead. Thanks for the read, Stefano. An excellent way to begin the weekend.
Thanks Andrew, I'm glad you were able to take something useful from this. And again thank you for taking the time to read, that means a lot. Trying my best to keep the articles somewhat shorter so you don't have to spend your entire weekend reading it.
Do you believe having more than one ambitious goal at a time is too much?
For example, let’s say I want to get promoted at work. At the same time, I want to run a marathon, or bench 120kg. Should I focus on one at a time, or is there a point where the domains diverge enough that we don’t overwhelm ourselves through ambitious goals?
You said it yourself. It gets to a point where the domains diverge enough that you don't overwhelm yourself. You are exterting mental effort in your work to get promoted, while the marathon or benching 120kg (and if you're benching 120kg that's insane), is physical effort.
They are split, and you should definitely pursue both!
For me, it gets hard when I'm trying to do too many things that require mental energy. But, I've noticed that it's possible to combine things if it makes sense. For example, you're writing and you are doing a newsletter, and the content you write can be repurposed into a YouTube video. That can work.

Hi Rasmus, thank you for reading my friend.
